Speedometer wont work! what wrong????

Speedometer wont work! what wrong???? i swapped transmission and i forgot to unplau the speedo, so the wires got pullued out of the plug. i got a new plaug hooked it all back up and it didnt work......i switch the wires incase i had it hooked up backwards and still didnt work. so i took the little thing thats bolted to the trans that the plug connects to out of another trans i had sitting around and it still didnt work....once again i switch the wires and still nothing. im now trying to trace the wores to make sure nothing is worng with them but im having trouble keep track of where they go to......anybody have any idea of what could be wrong?

i tested all the wires and they are all a complete circuit.....vss from the trand to the pcm and the signal wire from the pcm to the gauge cluster. they are ll good. i am at a loss here as to what is wrong. could it be my gauge cluster?
