Default Air pump fuse keeps shorting

My air pump fuse keeps blowing out. Is this what's causing my ses light? I think I screwed up my air pump when I drove thru deep water where's the best place to get one and are they hard to change?

Yeah the blown fuse will probably throw P0412 and/or P0410. Not hard to change but might be just a wiring/connector issue - I'd get down there and check before replacing it. Is it abnoxiously loud when it tries to run? Some people in states without emissions remove secondary air so you might find a used one on the boards.

The air pump won't run. The fuse doesn't live long enough for it to run.

The same thing was happening to me, I just yanked the pump and hoses out and had the code tuned out for $40. Ended up being cheaper than fixing it and cleaned up the engine bay a little.

I need to pass emissions test in TX. Will it pass if I get the code tuned out?
