Best computer to use? I am currently doing a LQ4 swap into my Impala, I am debating whether to go with having street and performance or Speartech build the Harness. A question that has risen has been what type of computer am I going to run and the connections to various parts such as MAF, injectors and other connectors. Is there any computer easier to find or better to tune. I have the choice of a GTO, Camaro and truck computer. I plan on doing drive by Cable and not drive by wire. I also plan on running a 4l60e tranny. Any help with largely do.
Any computer from a 99-02 (512kb chip) is what you want, doesn't mater what it is from, they're all the same inside. OS is operating system. If you get a hold of wait4me performance he will send ya a computer, even tunned to your specs for about $158 i believe.
The computer you are looking for comes in any 99-02 F-Body (LS1 not V6),
Any 99-03 Corvette, and 99-02 LS trucks, can be identified by the connectors, they are labeled red and blue
