Installing ss3600, what should i do about a tune I am taking my car to have my ss3600 installed and trans rebuilt. What is the best tuning option, send it out, dyno tune, or what. If i send out the ecu what do i need to tell themi want tuned. See sig. for other mods. Thanks for the input guys.
It's always best to street tune an automatic car with a big converter. If you don't have that option, you need to have an tuner with experience tuning stalled automatics.
Some basics:
* Raise TC lockup points
* Adjust misfire table to prevent the TC from unlocking at hwy speed.
* Increase shift speeds
* Increase line pressure (optional)
* Adjust (raise) rev limiter
These are just basics and it really depends on your car and driving habits to determine how much each needs to be adjusted.

tuning for a convertor Well i keep reading about hptuner or efilive, but how hard is it really to tune yourself. I would love to buy the program and do it myself and change as needed for other mods later. I would look into doing that but want to know how hard it is to get those things right and what to look for. OR do you know of anyone who is good at tuning for convertors?
