Default How to change VIN

Well i fried my ECU awhile ago so i went on ebay and bought anouther one that was supposed to be flashed to my VIN. When I went to pull the stock tune off of it yesterday to save it, I found out that it had a different VIN in it and was tuned for a 5.3 chevy pickup. The car started up and idled for a bit so it works. My questions are:
1. I have EFILive locked to my old VIN and dont want to pay for another VIN. Is there a way to program my old VIN back in?
2. Will this ECU even work? Here are some of the #'s
New ECU- OS-09381344 OS ID- AG
Calibration- 9379551 BCC- CYCB
Stock ECU- OS- 09381344 ID-AG
Calibration- 9385741 BCC- DANW

EFI live will change the vin, but they do not vin lock, but lock to the pcm serial number (And that is not easy to change )

You will need to purchase another license,

Yep, changing the VIN in the PCM will not make it so you dont need another license with EFI Live. EFI Live licenses the PCM, not the Vin as slow stated above me.

To answer your second question, yes the PCM will work, but like said, you will have to license to the new PCm and then just flash in your current tune for your car. You can then use the scanner to change it to your VIN also.

Ok. I think I'll just send my old one in to have it repaired. I think that should be cheaper than a 100 pcm license.
