how high do you idle it though? the shorter time you give it between pulses the lesser the air leak. i like to demo it by idling it at like 1300rpm, and the wb suddenly works perfect. also, cam spec numbers are one thing, and valve events are another, so not all big cams are created equal...

850 rpm's

You do have a point on valve events though. It may help also that i used v-band clamps on the collector of the headers to connect my x pipe to my collectors so i have no exhaust leaks what so ever from my headers back as well to help with false readings.

I've had my AFR at idle all over the place and that alone would not make the problem go away. Same thing with timing. Airflow seems to affect it the most but from my experience it has to be the right mixture of airflow, fuel and timing. I've had the most success by first getting my IAC counts in line by adding airflow from the TB and adjusting the IAC effective area, adjusting idle airflow (RAFIG and RAFPN for EFI Live), and toning down the idle airflow learning tables as well as experimenting with fueling and spark.

alright yea i want to get a wideband but cant afford it right now so that will have to wait but ill get in there and play with some fueling to see what happens ill keep you all updated thanks

Download this config attachment at the bottom of this post. Without touching the gas let the car idle up to operating temp. and copy and paste the RAF out of the histogram to your editor. That should cure your idle problems if its airflow.

Hope you are using HPTuners. If not disregard this post.

we are using hp tuners but its the shop with the account so ill have to log in under their account to access this
