Default Transmission problem due to tuning?

Is there such thing as improper tuning that'll cause a transmission to blow up where there are no gears left?

Have 2000 Chevy Silverado, 4 x 4 with 6.0 liter engine that has a magnum supercharger. The computer has been tuned to handle the suspension lift, 20 inch rims, the blower along with the bigger fuel injectors and air induction system. Had new transmission installed that has already blown out 3 times. According to the Transmission Specialist, the tuning (done by another business) is not programmed to the correct specifications to withstand the added weight and horsepower of the truck. Does this sound like this is the root cause of the problem knowing that the engine idles right and there no indications that the engine has been improperly tuned.

Frustrated and don't know what to do. Please help.

are we talking 4l60e or 4l80e?

With a HEAVY truck and large tires and a lot of horsepower there is much more strain on that tranny then if it were in a car. If the tranny isnt built to handle the abuse it wont last long.

Do you have a stall? If you have a stall you do need to tune for it.
What about a trans cooler?
