Default How low can the idle be set?

I have the motor in my sig, my cam is 24x/25x .61x/.62x on a 112lsa. My idle is currently set at 900 but seems to hover around 1100. My buddies car has a similar setup untuned right now and his idle seems to like to dip to around 600 after it warms up. It sounds amazing after it dies a few times on warm up. My question is this:

With a full dynotune, would it be possible/feasible to set my idle to around 600 or so or would that not be a wise thing to do?? Thanks guys

While not set in stone, your motor would probably do that "die a few times" thing that your buddie's does if you set it that low. If you had a stick shift it might be ok, but it would still likely gas you out of your garage from the exhaust fumes due to erratic fueling. I have to agree, though, that it would definitely give that "monster cam" sound.

Look at your kpa at different idle speeds, it will get higher and unstable at really low rpms like 600, as you go up in 50 or 100 rpm increments, you'll see it come back down and make more vacum. Only problem is when you get to the best vacum at idle, it might be too high for an automatic. I've seen best results close to 900 on cams 230+ but that is too much for A/T as they try to drive on their own like that.

Does it make any difference that it is a full manual auto?

Should not matter with that stall, but surging might happen because of low vacum.
