Does this make any sense? After a few months of non use, due to building up a parts arsonal for latest install madness, I finally got the lap-top back out and hokked up to the car. But I cannot get my EFI Live or LS1 Edit to connect. OK, it's like this. I disabled my modem and infared device. I restarted the computer and tried to connect with Live for 30 min with no luck. I swapped cables and again restarted the puter. The first 11 tries to connect to the car failed. the 12th connected and began to read. I let it read for 3% and stopped the read. I just wanted to be sure of a connection. Then I set it to program and again Edit would not connect to the cars computer. I tried 8 more times to connect with a read and can't get the connection with the car. Is there anything else I can try?

Re: Does this make any sense? On the car, no. I had just connected it and started the car for the first time since my heads/cam swap. My engine light stayed on and I was trying to find out the problem, as well as up the idle with edit. I did restart the computer, but didn't remove the battery.

Re: Does this make any sense? OK, now it's really pissing me off, Last night I got Edit to connect and downloaded a program. I went back today and it won't connect, once again! What the hell could be causing this?
