O2 Test?
O2 Test? Hey guys is there any way with Edit to test the O2's without physically pulling them out? I am getting a CAT failure code of P0430 and I wanted to know if it is the O2 for sure or if I have a bad CAT. If I do have a bad CAT would that hender performance at all?
Re: O2 Test? With Edit, I don't think so, you could turn off the rear O2's but thats how its tested anyway.
Using logging software could give it away by monitoring their readings.
If the cat is all plugged it usually runs and smells bad.

Re: O2 Test? If the voltages of any of the 4 sensors aren't bouncing back and forth from 0-1000 or thereabouts then you should know
I'm not sure about actually checking the cat, I'm gonna go have a look at the other PID's coresponding to the O2's and maybe figure it out

Re: O2 Test? Chances are you have a bad cat. Usually when you get this code, it is rarely a bad oxygen sensor. You can verify this by comparing the voltages of B2S1 and B2S2. If the cat is good, B2S2 will generally flatline around a narrow voltage range for good period of time. However, your's will probably show a sensor that quite a bit more lively indicating a bad catalytic converter.
