adjusting throttle body?

adjusting throttle body? I put a slp throttle body in my ls1 and now the service engine light came on.
I had the code read at autozone and was informed the car thinks it is idleing to high, and I agree. It used to idle at 500 rpms in gear and now it's 700 to 850.
I was looking at the tb and realized there is a screw stop on the linkage that keeps it from closing any farther. Is it ok to turn this and will it bring down the idle that extra couple hundred rpms?
