Bad repeating hesitation on acceleration
Bad repeating hesitation on acceleration Guys, I'm having a problem where if I get on the car hard it cuts in and out like it is completely losing fire or something. I never got a check engine light until I decided to unplug the maf. With it unplugged, the check engine light is on, but no hesitation at all. The only code in it was P0102 and it cleared when I put my spare maf on the car, but now the hesitation is back. What sensor could cause this that wouldn't cause the issue when the maf is unplugged? I've never replaced the map sensor, but I don't know if it can cause this kind of problem. By the way, its mostly if you get on it from a stop or slow roll. If I'm at interstate speeds and get on it, it seems to be fine most of the time. Thanks for any ideas.

i bypassed my crane ignition and it took most of the hestitating problem away
it runs great but if i smash the throttle, instead of rolling into it, it acts up a little bit
going to replace wires/plugs, hopefully that fixes it

Here are my thoughts:
When you unplug the MAF it automatically goes to SD. It is running better that way. So, I would check for leaks around the MAF plumbing and maybe even clean the MAF. I would also check the wiring to the MAF. If that doesn't work start troubleshooting for a bad MAF.
