Default Any benefit going back to closed loop?

I ran open loop SD and ol MAF the entire past summer and never thought about going to closed loop. I liked the way the car responded exactly as commanded.

I have an lc-1 and it didnt simulate a narrowband well so I didnt even bother.. I am thinking about taking it out and putting a narrowband sensor in its place.

I have some bucking i would like to get rid of from my cam (231/234 .644/.598 111 lsa), there doesnt seem to be a good way to systematically fix the problem. I am wondering if my car will save any gas, and possibly be better at not bucking at part throttle.
I havent been able to fix the problem 100% no matter what itried.

I've always noticed when tuning a car I could never get it always to read in the 14 AFRs while cruising, consistently, in all types of weather. It would probably be advantageous as least from a gas consumption perspective to throw her back into closed loop. If you don't drive the car all that much it probably isn't a huge deal but with gas prices the way they are everything counts!

Have fun!
