Default Converting A4 to M6

Can I flash my PCM with HPtuners when converting from A4 to M6? Or will it be like my 4l80e .bin and I have to email my file to HPtuners to make the changes?

You can do a write entire (vin change) if you have support for both vins IIRC. Other wise you need an M6 vin flashed in.

Say for instance I find a 98,99,01 (my license's) M6 .bin on the forum I can change the vin to mine and do a complete rewrite?

Yea, you have to have a license for your vin plus the new vin. Then just use the vin change function in hptuners.

You may have to do a write entire to get the calibration stuff for the M6, but I'm not sure. I haven't really played with that function. I just tried it, but I'm not connected to the car so it didn't work.

Grab a 99-2002 M6 bin file from the bin repository since you have a 99. Using the compare feature, copy whatever changes you have (if it's not a stock tune) in the A4 tune into the M6 tune.

Now you can Write Entire the M6 tune onto your car. After that's completed you can do the Vin Change, and put your VIN onto the tune. You will need to have proper licensing on both VINs.

Can you use mine to do the swap? If so, you're welcome to use it.
