Most of the people around here use it... Seems to have good luck with it. Especially for the price.

I thought about useing it for my twin turbo v6 project and someone I know would like to use it on a 93 Lt1 camaro. But I'm not sure how well it would work with the optispark.

I have run many engines on Megasquirt, Megasquirt II and some other software varients...

vortec 8100, vortec 6.0, tune port 5.0, vortec 5.3, 3800 s/c all on MS. Many ignition options as well. Can run with 24 tooth wheel, 36-1, 58-2, whatever you want. I belive right now you're limited to wasted spark coil per cylinder. (it will fire two coil packs at same time, one cylinder on compression stroke, another on exhaust stroke, thats why its called wasted spark.)

I ran the 8100, 6.0 and 5.3 using a ford EDIS 8 ignition module, worked well, mounted a 36-1 wheel on the harmonic ballancer. This was back before MS supported the internal 24 tooth sensor.

Built in 2.5 bar map sensor, good for about 22 lbs of boost. No auto trans controls at this time, so piggy back if wanting to keep stock trans, or th400 or th350 for swaps..etc...

check you're computers com port settings, ms1 and ms2 use different baud rates for communications. Do a search as www.msefi.com and see where the settings are..i can't remember off hand...
