Electronic Problem??

Default Electronic Problem??

A little help here!! This one has me pulling my hair out!! I don't want to get long-winded in this description but I want to give you guys enough details so we can try to figure it out! Here goes: I have an '02 Camaro SS that had some performance mods on it when I bought it, but I bought it from a Chevy dealer and of course they don't know whats on it and they wouldn't help me get in touch with the original owner to find out. Some of the upgrades include a P-1SC Procharger, aftermarket fuel pump, 60# injectors, among others. I just got done doing an engine swap on it and now it won't start. Everything was functioning fine before the swap (other than the #7 rod banging around in the block!). Now when you turn the key on, the fuel pump won't come on. This system has a relay near the rear of the car for the pump and when you jump it, the pump comes on just fine. We checked for spark and with jumping the relay, we have fuel to the fuel rails, but it STILL won't start. All of the fuses and relays in the panels are good but it's like the computer is still telling the engine not to start. The new engine has a really big cam in it, so the timing is probably off but it doesn't even sound like it wants to fire. It turns over but doesn't sound like it will start. Any ideas?????

UPDATE: We took the intake back off to double check that all the sensors were plugged in and nothing was pinched. Everything checked out ok but we noticed that even when we "hot-wired" the fuel pump, the injectors were not pulsing. There hasn't been any fuel sprayed into the heads. Still thinking something in the computer is saying that it doesn't want the car to start because it won't turn on the fuel pump and won't make the injectors pulse. GRRR!!!

You probably already had some kind of tuner work done on the car that might have taken the ltft and stft out of the equation or diabled them. Whatever the case If you don't have efi or hp you need to get it so you can start from scratch and reflash the pcm with a stock tune and start from there. The computer will think it's stock and unless the timing is completly off which is possible the thing should start. The stock tune will try to compensate as much as possible, but of course there will be alot of tweeking to do.
Your other option is to get the thing towed to a professional tuner who can probably have it dam close in about 30 min and right on in a couple of hours.

WE GOT IT!!!!! Turns out, there was an issue with the three ground wires on the back of the driver's side head. We had two of them gounded together to the head(like we THOUGHT they were before we removed them from the old motor) and the other one grounded by itself. We ended up taking all 3 of them and extending them so we could ground them on the shock mount. Car runs GREAT!!! Obviously I still need to get a tune in it so we're definately heading to the local shop to get that done ASAP! Thank you guys for all the help!!
