Scanner setup help? I have an elmscan 5 scanner for my 99 ws6. It's an OBD II scanner.
I plugged it in under the dash, and then into the laptop. Switched the ignition to on (didn't turn the car on). Opened up scantool.net and the red LED switched to green on the scanner.
My serial port is com 1, and I tried all the baud rates in the scan tool. Keeps saying "ECU timeout...then it says Protocol not found".
