Tune a stock 04 GTO Is their much point getting a tune for a stock 04 GTO, I mean would their be any noticable gains in power / mpg?
I was wondering if any one has/had done this before?
I was thinking a 93 octane only tune and to enable lean cruise, would make some noticale changes. It seems other cars get some gain's from handhelds canned tunes or on a dyno.
Lastly anyone do this sight unseen or in the Atlanta area?

There is room for improvement both in power and economy. The real question is "is it worth it to you?" If the tune cost $400 and you gain 10hp and 2mpg would you be happy to spend your money like that?

Wasn't really concerned with the cost of it, just if there would be any noticeable results.
It seems that someone got good results out of a G8 and their were some other posts about some cars getting decent results from stock tunes.
$400 that would be worth it, considering the current cost of gas. I was thinking maybe someone already had a good stock tune and would sell it for less really.
