idle going up and down till warm

i just bought a 98 camaro ls1 with alot of mods to it,when first started and on a restart when cools down the idle fluctuates up and down till warm,is there a fix for this?could it have anything to do with the throttle body bypass,thanks for any help

might be your choke....its used when cold...and holds steady when warm....try checking it...might need replacing.

soundengineer, LS1's don't have a choke since they are fuel injected. This function is performed with firmware in the PCM by simply injecting more fuel when the engine is cold.

badtoys, the surging you have could be due to an aftermarket cam; you need to list your mods for the best help on this board. PCM tuning may be needed if the surging is due to mods. Oh BTW, TB bypass will not cause this.
