99 computer in a 2000?

99 computer in a 2000? i have 2 99 computers, one from an automatic ws6 with traction control and one from a 99 trans am, to TC. im wanting to put one of those in my 2000 z28 (no TC) because my diablosport programmer wont let me change rev limits on my 2000 computer, but it works on both the 99 computers.
will it work right? i know it will plug in but i dont wanna screw anything up. the emissions on my car is all removed and blocked off on my car so thats not a big deal.
can anyone help me out?

It will work as long as they are for the same type of transmission. I have a '99 Trans Am with TC in my ''99 camaro non TC. You will probably throw a few "U" codes though, as you will be trying to be communicating with modules that don't share the same vin.

thanks. i already did it with the 99 ta with no traction control. i still cant figure out why my car is the only one that my predator didnt work right on thought, everything works fine now, i guess it just didnt like it lol

had a crazy problem this morning, it threw 2 codes, random cylinder missfire and injector circut malfunction (po200) and the car smoked like hell, after driving it like 5 more minutes it went away and it ran normal, kinda felt short on power thought, think its got anything to do with the computer?
it was running rich as hell, it kinda acted like and injector was stuck open, i looked at my fuel trims and they said 0% the whole time, didint change with throttle or speed or anything.
