PID list I'm working on a speedo project for my RX7. I'll be using a micro controller to retrieve the vehichle speed info from the PCM via the ALDL link and convert it to an analog voltage and use it to drive a tach meter movement . I want to
have an odometer but after hours of searching on the web I can't find the pid and data format for the odometer data from the PCM. Can anyone help. If the project is successful I'll post the complete details in the conversion forum.

The IPC displays the vehicle speed based on the information from the PCM. The PCM converts the data from the vehicle speed sensor to a 4000
pulses/mile signal. The IPC uses the vehicle speed signal circuit from the PCM in order to calculate the vehicle speed. The speedometer defaults to 0
km/h (0 mph) if a malfunction in the vehicle speed signal circuit exists. The analog speedometer displays the vehicle speed in miles and kilometers.

aftermarket speedo heads i have been around have dip switches to match the counts to the mile.
its been more than 10 years ago i retrofitted several buses that had detriot diesel ddec IV with electronic allison 740 trans. it was pretty easy power, ground, signal, and match the switches to a measured mile.
