Default EFI Live/LS1edit ???????

I had my tune done awhile back by a shop in ILL. with Hptuners, and now I have a local guy here with EFI live and was wondering if I had him just raise my rev limiter with EFI live, would that all affect my HPtuners tune?

Sorry, Straightline tuned my car in ILL. and i thought they used ls1edit, but they use Hptuners I guess.

As long as there were no custom OS files used, and the pcm was not locked, you should be good to go, using any of the suck, modify, and flash tuning software out there (HPT, EFI, Tunercat, Edit)

K sounds good. I know the PC is not locked. But whats the custom OS files? All I know is they tuned it 3years back. I lost the tune shortly after, So had it emailed to a friend with HP tuners, put my tune back in. Now, 2 years down the road, I want to change the rev limiter since I added NO2. So I know its not locked since we reinstalled the tune awhile back ourselves.

Quick ?, I have a hypertech programer I have laying around from a long time ago. Could that mess up my tune, or could I just raise the rev limiter with that. Im lookin to bump it up to 7200 rpms.

no, you cannot use the hypertech to make any adjustments to your tune.

the hypertech only puts "canned" tunes into the ecm, it does not suck the stock file off, make changes, and then reload the file to the ecm.

If you connect it to your vehicle, you may find that you loose your current tune.
