high idle problem?
high idle problem? Helping out a friend who put a ls1 into a s10 blazer...checked for vacum leaks ..does not apper to be any...he told me it is a 2002 harness and he is using a 99 os and ecm...no matter what we do it just wants to take off and idle at 2500 rpms...cant even slow it down much with the real time controls? i can get it to go to 2200 any ideas? i am kind of stumped i have hp tuners
any ideas would be great thanks...by the way the computer when transplanted into his 99 z works and idles perfectly..?

Has to be air entering the engine downstream of what the throttle blade and IAC are giving it, unless the the throttle blade is just open too far with the stop screw. You don't give many details on the throttle body used. Just assuming it is a cable TB and not a ETB since you can use the PCM in a Z.
It is a stock ls1 with cable tb you are correct...we even chaged to a different stock intake and tb and it still just idles right on up 2 2500...it keeps coming back to getting air from some where because i dont think its in the computer tune ....
