Default Damn p1153 code

I got my car back from the mechanic. the car was first tuned, but the engine had to be rebuilt afterwords. i have had headers on for almost a year, but this is the first time the p1153 code has come up. the car does have 120k miles on it and i dont think the o2 sensors have ever been changed. could those be the problem?

the only thing i gained from it was that using stock ac delco sensors are better off and if they still throw a code, just get them deleted. is that right??

Thats what I did recently, it seems to have solved the problem.
This prevents it from staying in open loop.

I don't think it's the best way IMO, but I'm no tuner either and I don't feel like experimenting with different things. I think the answer is to get the VCM to properly fuel the car with the colder O2 temps at idle.

Don't feel bad, I read all eight pages AND several hours of posts found during a search.
