problem with efi live
problem with efi live Downloaded all that I need. At least I think. Enter my vin, click connect with the cable hooked to car and it says no cable detected. I know my laptop area the cable because I can pull up tunes that have been saved. So its not seeing my pcm. All I'm trying to do is scan. What can I try.
BYW this is a friends cable. I'm wanting to data log so we can tune it later. Is the cable married to a certain computer?

The cable is not married to any Laptop.
You need to install the drivers for the cable.
If the cable can be seen with the software, you can tell that by going to HELP in the software then v1 or v2 licensing, it will show you the cable specs.
If you can see that and still no connection, Check your cigarette lighter fuse.
