HI everyone. I was out in the camaro the other day and the car was running fine. I stopped to get gas and when I went to start the car nothing happened. Felt almost like the starter locked or if i tried to start it without the clutch in which I did have in of course. Fuel pump I can hear turn on. Towed the car back home and these are the codes it is throwing now. Anyone provide me any insight on what the hell happened with the PCM. Forget the O2 sensor code Im not concerned with that as of now.


[PCM] P1153 - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1 (Old) (Immature)
[PCM] P1626 - Theft Deterrent Fuel Enable Signal Not Received (Pending) (Old) (History) (Current) (Immature)
[Brake] U1016 - Loss of Class 2 Communication with VCM (History)
[Restraints] U1016 - Loss of Class 2 Communication with VCM (History) (Immature)

Sounds like an antitheft issue.

VATS code - do you have a spare key?

 

Welcome to the wonderful world of the aging process of the 4th gen Fbody. After so many key on / key off actions the sense wires in the column that setup the comparison btw the key and the BCM (under the glove box) are breaking down.

You have two options,

1) R/R the comparison setup in the column
2) Read the resistance in the key and setup a switch/resistance off the bcm.
