Code for gear ratio

Code for gear ratio how can i find out what gears i got on my car. its a 3.8 but i swapped the tranny from a m5 to an auto. the other day i decided to top off the car and drove for 70+ miles, and a few were uphill, when i got to the next gas station i could only put 2gallons in.
I know the codes for a v8 car are gu5 for 3.23 gears, and a gu2 for 2.73 gears.
The best way to find out would be to just jack up the rear ends and spin the tire one revolution and count how many times the pinion spins. If you don't have posi, make sure both tires spin one revolution.
I thought most v6 cars had 3.08 gears?

Check for Factory white decal on driver's door. You should see quite a few codes. For instance: AO1=Tinted Glsaa, A31= Power Windows, G80 = Limited Slip Reaor(posi), etc.
Now Codes GU2=2.73 gearset, GU5 = 3.23, GU6 = 3.42. These are the gear ratio's usually found in a factory later model 7.5" F-Body factory rear end.

EDIT rpo y87 is the v6 performance package rpo. Limited slip rear with 3.42's (even with the auto)
