Did there ever end up being pics of how you did this fix? I tried JB weld and it failed me as well.

I did a version of a fix last night and it seems to be working. As i said...previously tried JB Weld and it failed at install. So last night I got out the drill and some safety wire and made 4 hols and two loops which i spun tight and it seems to be good. 70 miles and it no vibration or failure.

Holes and loops thru twisted up to hold tight. No pic, but I used a vice grips to hold pieces in place while looping and twisting.

Not perfect fix for everyone, but at least some pics for the idea if someone needs a fix.
