engine knocking... replacement ideas??

engine knocking... replacement ideas?? Well it finally happened... engine started knocking yesterday evening. It has 130,xxx on it so i suppose its about time. I'm not quite sure what i want to do right now. I jacked the car up today and its definitely coming from the bottom of the engine. It also makes a strange howling noise from the exhaust. I'm guessing its a spun bearing. What are my options for replacement? Any ideas, websites, or any other info would be greatly appreciated..
.. or if you're on a budget scour the for sale for awhile and find a used ls1 short block 
MOST LS2 engines will have the 58x crank reluctur as it is a Gen IV engine.
HOWEVER, 2006 GTO and Trailblazer SS LS2 engines have the LS1 friendly 24x reluctor.
Going to this early LS2 engine is the easiest way to get a 6.0 liter engine in these cars.
