I have a stock 02 trans am and my exhaust valve spring broke on cylinder one. I already replaced the spring with a factory one, but do you thing i should replace the intake also on that cylinder??

 

I would say no . But the biggest question was the spring that broke stock? still running stock cam etc. Why did the spring break ?

 

If your stock cammed then I wouldnt bother call it a freak occurance. if you have a high lift cam then you might want to replace them all and or upgrade when you get .600lift and alot of RPM there is a lot of stress on them.

 

The engine is completely stock, I believe I over revved the engine or held it in a high rpm for a little too long LOL. I thing thats why it broke. I have had friends tell me it happens and it may be a freak occurance also. I bought two springs and replaced the broken one already, i figured since i have it apart, might as well change the intake valve spring on that cylinder also.
