All of them will be 'registered' as a Firebird Formula.

What year is the car?
If it's a late LSx-based 4th-gen, it should have the WU6 on the GM RPO code tag on the driver's door jamb.
It should have an SLP second sticker tag on the passenger door jamb.

Ahh, so it's a Formula Firehawk.
Looks good,

Previous owner did the "!molding".
(Removed the side molding.)

No, the VIN will not tell you anything, unless you share it with someone who can run it thru the GM system to list the RPO build codes.

They must start at the left & move'em one at a time!
(Or the right I suppose, ..., if ya wanna climb over to the driver's side one by one, ...)

I thought the Firehawks had signature deck lids and hoods.

Not to hijack the thread but my VIN comes up as 2002 Firebird Formula/Trans Am. So maybe they all come up with Formula in them.

Nice hawk I seen a trans am hawk that had the bubble spoiler tonight.
it looks odd in person first time I seen one up close and they should have left the high rise hatch alone bubble spoiler may look good on a formula tho since it looks basicly the same minus the odd bubbles

Go to the SLP Website, give them a call and check if the vin# checks in!

Quoting the website...
