New owner
Just bought a 2001 trans am ws6 off original owner. 6 speed thirty thousand miles. It's 100 percent stock. I paid 13000 for it. Is that a fair deal? Anyway I had a few questions about some mods. I was wanting to put a full exhuast on and was wondering what everyone thought. Wanting something loud and throaty. Also would you recommend changing the air kid to an slp or other unit. Also what are some other good mods.
Yes thats a good deal assuming everything is in working order. Most wouldn't take less than 15k for anything under 50k miles.
SLP Lid is cheap and easy, plus it doesn't have the baffles so its easier to work around as well. Nothing but a win/win

Yeah that's a good deal for the mileage.
The slp exhaust doesn't seem to be real popular around here but I like it on mine.
Skip shift eliminator is a must imo. Super cheap n easy and gets rid of the annoying 1-4 crap.
Congrats tho, lets see some pics.

Thanks for the tips. What brand skip shift eliminator would you recommend. And I'll get pictures up once I figure it out. So would you recommend just the Texas speed headers or the full exhuast. Also how much will it cost to put headers on.
That's all up to you, check out ls1sounds.com it was made by a member here and members submit their exhaust clips so everyone can hear and try to get an idea of what they would like. Both the rumbler catback system and rumbler x are on there I don't know if you're wanting to go catback or true duals if you go with duals you have to buy a kit for the upper panhard bar to fit both pipes over the axle unless you're ok with dumped lol there are a million different things you can do just have to be patient and build it the way you want. As far as install prices go that will depend where you live, won't be cheap though
