Ok looking around it seems the Diablo is the preferred programmer on the forum, however I don't seem to be able to find if it would be beneficial to using it on a Firehawk.

Did SLP write a hotter tune for the bird, that the Diablo would remove with something less, or does the Firehawk have the same pontiac tune and the Diablo would be better?

I've never heard of SLP messing w/ the PCM tune on any of their cars (except for maybe the gen 3 f-bods). Exhaust, wheels, suspension and hoods seems to be the extent of what they modified.

 

Don't waste your money on hand held programmers they suck. Go get a custom tune find a sponsor near you and spend your money with them and it will be well spent and more beneficial.

I'll have to check into it. I was thinking with having to pass emissions, I could use the hand held to remove the tune before taking it in for the test.

 

A properly done tune will not effect the vehicle passing emissions.
