Turns out is a regular Firebird but it had the 301, also has the spoiler and Rally II rims. Currently has a 4-bolt 350 and TH-350 from a '69 Chevelle. The 350 is bored .40 over, heads worked, ported, and shaved for 12:1 compression, 3/4 cam, and Edelbrock 750 carb & intake. Needs headers and exhaust still to finish it up. The TH-350 was also gone through and shifts smoothly. Already put the mirror back on, was going to add the trim and badges along with adjusting the lights but ended up busier than expected. Few quick pictures from earlier. Will have to get one of the engine bay for everyone tomorrow.

Looks good! I had an 81 Firebird back in the day and I'm restoring a 73 now. I have a soft spot for the 2nd gen bird, haha!

Thanks! This will be a restore as I drive program. He gave me over a gallon of PPG paint in the O.E.M. red as well. Figure will put the rest of the trim on for now since it'll be at least March or so before it'll stay warm enough consistently to paint it. Then have a few interior things to touch up like the carpet and front seat covers, but overall it's a solid daily since all the mechanical/safety things are sorted. I've always wanted a second gen since I was a little kid, so it's great to finally own one. I look forward to finishing it.

Thanks. It already has the built 350(357) in it though. :O I plan to put on headers and replace the stock exhaust and that'll be pretty much finish it up. That and find a dual snorkel to run out to the front of the car so that way it sucks in cool air instead of what's under the hood.
