Default Engine seized

Hey everyone what's up. Never joined an LS1 forum because I never had a need until today. Here's a little background info on my car:

01 WS6 6 speed
Bought it from first owner May 2003 w/ roughly 60k on it. Now has about 160k
The last 4-5 years I've put less than 5k a year on it.
Engine/tranny never pulled/replaced.

Drove it a few days ago and all was fine. Went to start it today and it was knocking some. Honestly sounded like exhaust came loose bc I had bottomed out on a gravel driveway. Immediately went to pull it on the lift and then it klonked out and won't turn over.

Has anyone ever had this happen unexpectedly with no signs prior to? I'm not looking for an online diagnosis but any ideas where to start?

Thanks
Doug

Welcome to LS1tech!

When you bottomed out, was there any oil leakage?

Assuming no (I'd think you would've mentioned it) I would look at the wiring around the starter, maybe you somehow torn them up.

Perhaps the oil drain came loose (possibly when you bottomed out) and you lost a good portion of your oil when you last drove it? Just throwing that out there. Crazier things have happened.

id be curious to know the oil level as well.

the klonk... was it like the engine stumbled and died or did it just full stop?
when you say wont turn over, is the engine rotating at all or is it just a click of the starter?

best way to figure out if you are locked up is to take a breaker bar and try and rotate the motor using the crank pulley. You should be able to rotate if you are in neutral.

Was it sitting out in the rain for a few days?
