Actually, when I turn my left blinker on. The green arrow stays solid. And neither front or rear lights flash. I read that it could be the socket for the front. And the rear might just be out. Any ideas?

One or both bulbs are out I assure you. If your front bulb socket is blown the light won't turn on and cause the light to stay solid. Either way it's a bulb not lighting up

I'm just going to have to replace both to be safe. And the socket if it's corroded

They have the unfortunate placement right under the headlight and constantly sees water, which is why they corrode. But if you turn the blinker on just look and see which one is the one not on

Both if the driver side ones don't light up. I'll just go pick some up at auto zone in the morning.

Welcome to LS1tech!

Have a look through the stickies in this section for the better way to repair those pesky turn signal sockets.

Can you post some pics of this engine?

Oil: Any synthetic with lower viscosity should do you well. I use the 0W-40 Castrol that says "made in Germany" on the back, found at Walmart for about 25 bucks for a five quart jug. Use a quality oil filter like a Wix, K&N, Hastings or Mobil1. Never a Fram or store branded filter.

A usual and easy bolt on upgrade is installing a LS6 intake manifold. RETAIN the four corner cooling tubes under the intake. The LS6 intake's underside's ribs need to be shaved a bit to clear the tubes.

Beyond that, many of our fine sponsors such as Texas Speed could set you up with a head & cam package. Remember a new timing chain, oil pump, headers....the list goes on.

Most likely your blinker problem isn't a bulb or wiring issue. There are a couple screws holding your lower dash on directly below your steering wheel. Take that off. And fit a flashlight under there and get sight of a silver tin cylinder located just to the right of lower dash. Kind of behind the cigarette lighter. Unplug it and get a new one. Its called a flasher and will quit blinking when it goes bad. It controls the blinking of hazard and blinker lights. I already replaced mine once. Cheap fix.

The flasher controls both left and right side turn signals. So it can't be the flasher because the right side works fine
