2000 WS6 EVERYTHING on a 98 rolling chassis
I have a project car I've been working on slowly for years now. I started with a wrecked 2000 WS6 and a bare body of a 98 trans am. I transferred over everything and have an almost complete car. However I am having electrical issues. In general is there anything I need to know or look out for? I have several weird things going on...headlights acting funny, something with the headlight switch seems to be interfering with the fuel pump. I did not re-install the cruise control system or the TCS cables. I just have the cable going right from the pedal to the throttle body...will this work?
You'll need to be more specific in the General Maint. And Stereo & Electronics sections to solve the individual problems.

I swapped from a v6 to v8 with my firebird and I did the samething you did with the throttle cable, cant remember if the ecm threw a code originally or not. I have a lot of stuff that isnt present that the ecm is throwing codes for that had to be disabled with HPtuners and I cant remember if that was one of them.
as for the other, did you swap everything into the 98 or vice versa? I know the 98 ecm harness isnt compatible with anything but a 98 ecm. Im not sure if anything else beyond that doesnt communicate with 99+. The headlight interfering with the fuel pump is a bit odd. what do you mean by interfering?

I swapped everything from the 2000 into the 98 including the entire harnesses. Just got the car back to PA from FL yesterday so going to start tracking this stuff down individually..was more or less just looking for any general advice. I didn't reinstall the airbag on the passenger side either because of my roll cage which is causing a lot of my wiring headaches because of the routing of them around the 10 pt cage.
