Decided I did not like how far in the rear wheels sat so i got a pair of 1.25 think hubcentric bolt-on wheel spacers. Only problem is I really like it and am debating doing 1 inch on the front.

Also swapped the stock muffler for a Hooker Aerochamber. Also used a pair of 3.5 stainless tips I had from another project.

Gotcha. How fun were the plugs? Still haven't done mine, figured I'd wait until my header install.

Not fun. My wrists hurt from bending odd angles and plenty of lil cuts n scrapes.

The driver side is easy. The passenger side was best for us via from the top. Removed the AIR stuff and the coil pack which was a bitch on rear bolt--that is not back in there. Keep several extensions and various sizes of them as well as wobble joints. We used a 3/8 and 1/4 inch drives. A 10 mm ratcheting wrench was really nice a couple times.

Been awhile since I updated this thread.

Has a VFN Smoothie Q hood now and yesterday I tossed a set of 18/19s off a C6 in polished flavor. Also had windows tinted and few other little things along the way. Hoping to get my exhaust cutout installed in next couple weeks.

Thanks. But I bought it to drive, not look at it. 2000 miles a month year round on average since I got it!!! If I am going to put the miles in behind the wheel, it will be in something I enjoy.

I like the new wheels! Do you feel any difference in the steering response?

Late response, but it has been a long summer for the car. ---first, yes I think it feels a bit better but I had 18s on it before, so I think it is more these tires are better.

So end of may a deer committed suicide by jumping over a construction barrier on the interstate and landing on my passenger headlight and basically ripping the corner of bumper and pass fender off. Insurance was a bitch but I had my buddy's dealership body shop work it out and do the repairs. I told them to do it right, not fast. They found previous BS work from an accident before i got it and fixed all of it as well as the deer strike. Finally got the car back yesterday.

Thanks. I really like the open nostril styling and this one seemed like the best flow with the lower wing of the convertible.

Like most, I normally hate convertibles. But you sir have done a fine job making that car look great at all angles.

Appreciate. I am not typically a vert fan. It is my first one ever, but I saw the car and it just hit me right. I needed a daily driver and wanted something to make all the miles I commute enjoyable. I would have rather gotten another t-top M6 car like my others were, but when the wife says she likes it and would like to have a convertible with the kids, you take advantage. I actually enjoy the simplicity of being able to drop the top leaving work and then just zipping it up before I hit the interstate. The kids think its a racecar, the wife loves to cruise on nice days, and I get to drive a TA everyday instead of some econo-shitbox thing.

So in 2.5 years I have put 60K miles on her and still am glad i bought it for my DD. I figured with spring coming i would finally get some wheels to put inside the 275/35/18 I have been storing. Found a great deal on some silver centered, polished lipped, ASA JH8 18x9.5 w 45 offset that had one used for a display in a shop and the others were new. Even came with a rear new tire from display(235/60/18 so its worthless to me). Got the combo put together yesterday and could not help but stick them on the car.

Car still needs a good cleaning, but every wash it has rained. Pics definitely make want to get some new suspension with about an inch drop.

Not a convertible fan but that is a great looking car! Hood is beautiful. I’m having a good laugh at your original post talking about not modding it. Good try, haha! You’re sick like the rest of us! You’ve done well and keep driving that beauty.
Oh, and this was a real success story since you went looking for a Sonic.

Thanks. It is a sickness. I end up modding everything. I tried to keep the lines pretty clean and not overdo anything and then end up redoing like so many times before. I think a bit of drop with a refreshed suspension soon will help just a bit as well

Definitely glad I did not settle on a lil car and get to enjoy the car vs dread the commuting.

I think the C6 wheels are my fav that I've seen out of the different sets in this thread. Nice work though and glad to still see them DD'ed!
