97 ws6
My son just bought a 97 WS6 with the right code on the door sticker. It appears to have the stock hood and airbox. I found a rubber seal in the trunk that looks like it should be attached to the rectangular opening under the hood. Does that sound right? is their an air path from outside through those hood ovals?

If it does not very clearly have ws6 nostrils then the hood and box have been changed out. Being a LT1 the non ram air air box will be located behind the drivers side headlamp behind the coresupport in the engine compartment.
The ram air box has a 90 out of the throttle body and sits forwards to ontop of the intake manifold

The OP should have a set up like in pic 2 for his WS6 LT1 Trans Am and I believe he is referring to the seal found in that same pic that sits on the box itself [like a upside down U]
Also, yes OP there is a path to the outside through the scoops on a WS6 hood, there just may be some Rain Guards in there to keep water from being sucked up the airbox.
