Default 78 TA Ls1 oil pan

G'day All

Just about to import to Australia a 78 TA that has had a 5.3 LS1 installed.
Now my local laws state minimum 100mm clearance from road and needless to say the oil pan is an issue.
I have googled the forum but cant find what I am looking for.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for either :
A: Replacement oil pan that doesnt hang below the cross member (too much)
B: Guide to modify the existing oil pan

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there room above the engine & trans to raise the whole assembly up a couple of inches?

In all honestly I don't know and wont until it lands. I was more looking for a new sump that is more proportional without compromising possible
low oil issues.

Once you figure out what pan it has now you can figure out how to get the clearance you need. Here's a link showing different pans with dimensions so you can shop for a shorter one.

The '98-'02 4th gen F-Body oil pan is the most desirable for 2nd gen guys. 5.3 is not an "LS1"....you probably have a deep truck oil pan judging by this picture.
