Default Keyless entry

I have a 2000 Base model 3.8 firebird and I noticed my car doesn’t come with keyless entry in the codes in the door does that mean there is no way to program a key Asking cause I kinda hate using two keys for locks and ignition lol plus it does a cool thing with the lights

Do you have power locks? If so, you can replace your BCM (Body Control Module) with a new one to get keyless entry. All of the different optioned BCM original part numbers now supersede to the "all option" version which includes keyless entry and factory alarm. The keyless entry will work without any other changes but the alarm requires other hardware and wiring (not worth it).
