Default Need Tail Lights

Hi all,

I searched this forum for "tail lights" got one thread but no links in it.

I need to see any available alternative to hosed tail lights, i.e. cracked outer plastic, outer plastic seperated both of which let water in.

Either stock replacements or after market both of which I have googled and came up with pretty much ziltch.

Thanks!

Ken

www.classicindustries.com

Sells them, but you can order them from the Dealer too. Run you around $130 a side I believe.

the "ls1" honeybcomb lights are much better constrution than the 2 layered 93-97 lights.

Thanks guys, yes it appears ebay might be the way to go, Classic Industries lists the item but they say $258 "each" so I'm not sure if that means 1 light or 1 pair....I mailed them to be sure.

Interesting that there is no alternative aftermarket part the way there is for the Camaro, not that I'm hot to deviate from stock, just seems like someone would have something for those who like to try something different.

Thanks again,

Ken

There are 4 kinds of taillights that fit the birds.

1993-97 firebird lights, red and white.
1993-1997 export lights, red, amber and clear, with rectange boxes
1993-1997 red/clear "LT1" style lights, rectange boxes

and the 1998+ honeycomb lights.

... I guess the aftermarket does not see a need for altezza bird lights, and honestly, thank god they don't.

I have a set of 93-97 Trans Am tail lights pulled off of my 94 TA GT. They're used but don't have any seal issues or separations, like you're talking about. I just put 98+ honeycombs on, so I don't need them. $75 for both.

Just order some of the export versions from a GM parts dealer... here are the parts numbers:

LH - 5977819
RH - 5977820
