97 Cobra vs. LT1

Assuming both cars are manual which ones is faster stock for stock, and bolt on for bolton.

I am considering buying either one. I already own an LT1 so I Know it pretty good, but I saw a 97' cobra w/ 80k on it for 8,000.

Take the 8 grand loan, and rebuild your LT1 into a supercharged bruiser and **** on the Furd Slobra.

Id say LT1 because in a GMHTP 10 year anniversary issue, they tested the '96 SS verse '96 Cobra and the SS lit it up in the quarter mile, styling etc.
