Question Idles Bad

When I Start My Car It Idles Fine.after Warm Up It Starts To Idle Around 500 Rpm + Or - And Sometimes It Will Idle Fine Again. Goes Down The Road Fine.no Back Fires No Nothing Just At Idle And Light Take Off.moderate Take Off It Will Pull Then Lose Power Then Go Fine. Thats Only Leaving A Light Normal Driving And Again Not All The Time Sometimes Its Fine.any Ideas On What Is Causing Problem??

I had a bad plug wire make mine stumble and backfire. I changed plugs and wires problem went away.

Might wanna change plugs depending upon how old they are.

check out www.thunderracing.com, they've got good stuff for wires and plugs.

it could b lots of things, i had the same problem. first it was a plugged MAP sensor, then it was my alternator going bad fluctuating my idle.

I bought Taylor Thundervolts from Racenet they were $71.45 shipped vs $89.95 before shipping at Thunder racing btw for the same wires.

I shop around, but when it comes to higher priced mods like my 12 bolt I got mine thru Thunder and just bought my Man a new badass cam for Xmas

Yeah well, we both have the same cars and interest with them and we race ours. He does all of my work on mine, so it's okay he's supposed to be faster than me I'll help to keep him there.

assuming you have an LS1 with OBDII, i would invest in an autotap. if you have lots of miles on her i would at least just pop the MAP sensor and clean it out. also, maybe try tapping on the MAF sensor (gently) or jiggle the connector while the engines running at idle. any fluctuation is usually a sign of a faulty MAF.
