Pulling Motor/Trans
Pulling Motor/Trans I apologize if this is in the wrong forum; it involves a 2002 Trans Am, and the LS1/LS6 engine and the A4 transmission in it. So...
What are (if any) the tricks to pulling the motor and transmission from this car? The car is wrecked, I think it can be hacked up to get the it all out. I've removed and installed a good deal of small blocks and old-school transmissions, but nothing remotely new (no fuel injection or electronically controlled transmissions, etc.). What's going to be different about this? I appreciate anything in the way of helpful advice. Thanks.
Also, what else, besides the motor, would I need off the Trans Am to put the motor and transmission into another car (in this case, it'll be a '70 Nova SS, no computer). I'm guessing the computer and the wiring harness? Anything else?
