window motor replacement hey
i wanna change out my crappy stock window motor with something that hmm.. at least doesn't suck as much
i've heard about people buying window motors at autozone. they are better than stock, yes? are they all standard, or is there some part # i should be asking about?

Don't do it, I changed out my power window motor in my last v-6 firebird and afterwards I wished that I had just took it to the dealer. I realize now that I was a little ignorant to the procedure, but I almost lost a finger, almost screwed the motor and ended up having to take it to a dealer any way. But by the time I took it the dealer, the place where the rivets hold the motor on was stripped and they couldn't mount it back stock so my window wouldn't go all the way down. Nitemare, good luck
