'84 Firebird - Different light problems My friend just got a '84 Firebird and we were installing a stereo. I was cutting the old stereo wires and connecting them to new ISO-connectors when i accidently cut a ground cable and the power cable that comes via the ignition at the same time and shorted them with the cutters. The ignition key was turned on at the time so the radio and ignition fuse blew instantly. I replaced the ignition and radio fuses, then the radio worked again, and the car started.
Later we took it for a ride to try the new stereo, and it worked fine but i noticed that the instrument panel lights that light up the speedometer and rpm meter didn't work. Then when we got back and i turned the headlights off, they didn't come down they just shut off, but when we left they raised just fine. That's when i also discovered that the parking lights didn't work either. The headlights still work fine tho but they just turn on and off when you press the switch, they don't flip down when you turn them off, they remain raised, and don't make a sound.
I'm just wondering if there are more blown fuses somewhere because i couldn't find more blown fuses above the drivers left knee?
Parking lights don't work, instr. lights don't work, and headlights doesn't lower but they work. Does anyone know what's wrong?
