Default Firebird Formula = trouble

Well the bird got me in trouble again today. After playing volleyball at the park with some friends they egged me on to do a burnout when we were all getting ready to leave. Im not gonna turn that down so I lit em up and did a huge burnout with alotta smoke and all. 2 cops come pulling in the park and park me in. Ends up Im getting 5 points on my license for reckless driving and the bastards chewed me out cause Im 17 years old. I also got a ticket for $280 and I already owe my dad $700 so Im screwed. Now my dad has taken away my license and car until trial. If I'm guilty which I am because the cops saw it, I get the 5 points and my license prokoved for 60 days. Since the insurance company will know, my insurance will be so high I will not be allowed to have my license back for atleast 1 year and to the most of 3 years until costs go down or my dad can just sell my pride and joy and let that be. My life has been hell since I started driving my car but I guess I learned a lesson. I destroyed all trust in my parents and I feel like ****. Those cops shoudlnt waste their time on people doing burnouts and go after real criminals. I now has 0 respect for cops and I hate them period. Oh, btw this means I have no means of transportation to go to either of my jobs which equals $0 made all summer and Im going to college next year. What am I to do??? Sorry for being so long I just had to vent. Worse day of my life and probaly become worst year ever, my bird has cost me an extra $5000 and my license only in 8 months, wtf.

Sorry to hear that man, I kinda know how you feel. If I were to get pulled over in the bird, my dad would kill me.

Well, your still young (I am too, hell, Im only 19) and if you have to give up your car, you can always get another one later.
Or, put the car to the side (uninsure it under your name) get a beater if you can, and use that until you can afford the formy.

You should have never listened to your friends. There not the ones who are in trouble now. I guess we all live and learn the hard way.

That was your first mistake. You can't decide never to turn down things your friends tell you to do.

That was your second mistake.

Burnout rule # 1: never do burnouts in a public place where other people / pedestrians / cops could potentially be

Sometimes you just gotta deal. I didn't have a car my first few years at college (let's not even go into why). Point is, you should start by deciding to do everything you can to correct your mistake and get back to where you want to be. If you just feel sorry for yourself for a year (or however long) you will get nowhere.

Don't feel too bad...almost all of us learned this the hard way. When I was 16-17 I got 7 moving violations in 12 months. My insurance was $330 a month for just liability, not even full coverage. You just have to find the good time and place to screw around and a parking lot in the middle of daylight is just not the place to do a nice toasty burnout. Maybe you can pull the insurance on the car and park it until the rates come down.

Sorry to hear that man, I hope things work out for you but yea its def. a bad idea to do burnouts in a public place. just remember cops love to pick on kids especially kids with sports cars!

I'm not sure what would happen to me but I don't think it would be good, I just don't do it because I can barely afford my formula as is plus adding tickets and raised insurance means I'll be putting miles on my sneakers not my formula...

dude dont blame the car cause you cant keep your foot out of it...... ive gotten bagged for doing stupid ****, the last time i did it actually cost me the car cause i wrapped around a telephone pole. i know if i hadnt been trying to be a hero that it wouldnt have happened, but that how i am. Someone tells me to light the tires and i do it. but at least i know that when i get pulled over for it, that it was my fault and no one elses. cause i didnt have to listen to them in the first place.

Just wondering if you were in a parking lot? Wouldn't that change things?
