Default more questions? guru's help

had my car forever and keep finding more questions to research and ask.
i've got a black 99 ws6 t/a

1st and needed the most would be paint code. i used search and came up with a wa8555 code for my car, but on inside of door hinge it's u 8555? not sure which is right or is it just the number 8555? which would bring me to my next question then of what does the u mean then?

2nd on the rpo codes, i have a ton of codes on my car that are not listed in the rpo code list.....for example aaa,ws9,u1s, and so on....you guys want me to list all them i don't have i will if you feel like looking them up.

3rd and last, the vin number deal seems to be for camaro's only. it wouldn't tell me anything when i typed the number in. wasn't for sure if there was a place for t/a's like that or not. really the only thing i could figure for sure was that my bird came from st. therse quebec.

was really bored and had nothing better to do
thanks for any help,
rob

3rd - if you're looking for the build number, etc, they (ASC) didn't keep up with that for WS6s and there were no extra (2nd sticker) options. Otherwise Carfax can give you the history of the car.

2nd - I got a list of available options and RPO codes from the local dealer. Of course this was a couple years back when they were still being made but it wouldn't hurt to try.

1st - I don't know, sounds like the number is the important part.

The U you're talking about probably refers to 'Upper (primary) body color'; if a car had two different colors on it (was more common in the 70s/80s), there'd also be an L number for 'Lower body color'.

None of the currently available RPO lists/decoder things have a complete list. I have collected many more than any one of them has, and have been gradually working for quite a while on getting everything cleaned up - still not ready to 'go public' yet, but I can probably translate all the codes you weren't able to find.

Post your VIN and I'll translate that too
