RPO Code Explanation?
RPO Code Explanation? I am looking for an explanation of what three RPO codes I have really mean: R6J, R7X, and R9P
I have found them all decoded as:
Control Sales Item No. xx *Processing Option*
SALES ITEM NO. xx
Where the xx is 10 for R6J, 48 for R7X, and 90 for R9P
Anybody have an idea as to what these really are???
I bought this car(1999 TA WS6) new in December 98, still my daily driver.....
Car was special ordered and then the person ordering could not get financing. Never mentioned to me by the dealer was the Koni's on the front - so I am wondering if one of these RPO's is it

R6J: I couldn't come up with anything for this RPO
R7X: Security Package incl. Theft Det. Syst. & Remote Keyless Entry
R9P: Power Group: Power Antenna, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Mirrors (Standard on T/A CPE/All Conv.)
My 2000 T/A has the R7X and R9P RPO codes, and the above is what I found for both of them. The info came from a 2000 Pontiac Product Information binder that the dealerships used.
R7X: Security Package incl. Theft Det. Syst. & Remote Keyless Entry
